Benefits of BIGNY

Monthly Networking Hours
$40/members, $60/non-members (includes admission to that month’s Informational Program)
Enjoy food and drink* while meeting others within the industry to build professional networks that will enrich your career. Corporate accounts are allotted a set number of free admissions to each meeting, dependent upon their account level.

Monthly Informational Programs
$40/members, $60/non-members (includes admission to that month’s Networking Hour) OR $5 if only attending the program portion and not the Networking Hour
Seminars on important, timely, and engaging topics are presented by leading professionals across all aspects of publishing. Corporate accounts are allotted a set number of free admissions to each meeting, dependent upon their account level.

Barge Bash – An annual cruise party with full meal, drinks*, and entertainment provided.

The New York Book Show – Our annual design and production contest. Come see some of the winning books on display while mingling with other industry professionals. Food and drink* are provided.

Holiday Happy Hour – Celebrate the holidays with other industry professionals. BIGNY members admitted for free. Open bar* and appetizers provided.

Mentoring ProgramNEW! – This program pairs those newer in their careers with seasoned publishing veterans. More to be announced soon.

Basically Books  –  An annual series of lectures geared toward junior-level industry professionals.

Annual Plant/Mill Trips – Each year, we visit one or two printing plants and/or mills to learn more about book production. Transportation and overnight accommodations are provided for junior-level BIGNY members or employees of corporate accounts.

BIGNY Volunteer Opportunities – BIGNY has many ways you can serve the publishing community while utilizing your existing talents, learning new skills, building your resume, and having fun. Committees include the Programs Committee, a number of Book Show committees, and many more. For more information, click here.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are paid for the calendar year.  Rates are as follows:

Individual Membership – $50/year

Corporate Memberships – Varying levels are as follows:

Copper Corporate Membership – $550/year (1 FREE attendee/month)

Bronze Corporate Membership – $1,100/year (3 FREE attendees/month)

Silver Corporate Membership – $1,650/year (5 FREE attendees/month)

Gold Corporate Membership – $2,200/year (7 FREE attendees/month)

Platinum Corporate Membership – $2,750/year (10 FREE attendees/month)

*Alcoholic beverages are provided only to those 21 and older. ID may be requested.
